Seven Social Care is working with Derbyshire County Council to recruit a Senior Practitioner for their Adults Services at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Job Purpose:
To lead on professional practice within a designated area of service, undertaking research and development work at district level. To be actively involved in complex case work. To assess undergraduate students and contribute to the professional supervision of Social Workers who are newly qualified or with experience.
Duties:
? Strengthen professional practice in fieldwork teams by taking the lead in developing, communicating and reviewing the application of professional ‘best practice’ standards and contributing to the provision of appropriate professional supervision as part of the professional leadership and general management of teams.
? Actively undertake research and promote innovatory working in order to contribute to strengthening and quality of service delivery.
? Develop professional links with partners and other organizations in order to improve collective knowledge and expertise.
? Undertake case responsibility for complex legislative work.
? Undertake AMHP/BIA role as appropriate.
? Prepare management information and reports as required and ensure appropriate follow up action is taken to enable implementation of decisions.
? Use financial resources in a cost effective and efficient manner.
? Represent the Department in meetings relevant to the post and deputise for Service Managers as required.
? Provide support to undergraduate students on placement with the Council through the achievement of the standards for practice educators, levels1 and 2 within a specified time period.
Applicant Requirements:
– Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
– Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
– Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
– Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
– Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
