Child Protection Qualified Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Child Protection Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Coalville, UK. The candidate will be responsible for working to safeguard, uphold, and enhance the wellbeing of children in need or at risk.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting professional assessments of risk, need, and capacity and making informed decisions about appropriate interventions.

2. Responsible for child protection case management and child in need planning, delivering, and evaluating interventions when necessary.

3. Collaborating effectively with multi-professional teams for case planning and management.

4. Ensuring that all statutory requirements concerning the welfare of children are met, including child protection conferences, statutory reviews, and case recording.

5. Providing reports and expert advice to courts, child protection conferences, and other forums of enquiry.

6. Conducting effective communication and liaison with children, families, and colleagues to facilitate operations.

7. Continually reassessing and responding appropriately to changing circumstances, often under intense pressure.

8. Actively promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people at all times.

Qualifications:

1. A Degree in Social Work or similar subject with a UK recognised qualification.

2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is required.

3. You must possess significant and recent experience in children’s social care, with a focus on safeguarding.

4. An in-depth understanding of the legislative and policy framework within which Social Workers operate.

5. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

6. The candidate should have the ability to work flexibly and respond to changing demands promptly.

7. Experience of working effectively with multi-professional teams is essential.

8. High levels of resilience and the ability to cope under pressure.

9. An enhanced DBS check is a prerequisite for this position.
