Childcare Lawyer

Seven Resourcing is working with Solihull Council to recruit a Childcare Lawyer for their Advocacy Team.

Initial 3 month contact with the potential of extension.

£45 per hour umbrella rate which is very competitive.

Job Purpose:

To conduct court hearings on behalf of the local authority, in children and other related matters.


It involves carrying out hearings, in predominantly, children cases, in Coventry, and sometimes in Nuneaton and Birmingham.

The hearings are varied, ranging from directions hearings, to contested hearings.

There is also a need to do some drafting of orders and other documents, and to attend advocates meetings and other meetings at times.

Other hearings may require cover, including those relating to adult services.


Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree to be a Qualified Lawyer
  • Experience: 2+ years working as a Childcare Lawyer in the UK
  • Compliance: Up to date passport and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
