Children and Families Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Children and Families Social Worker in Penzance, UK, who will provide professional support to children and families in need. This role requires sensitivity, a proactive approach, and a commitment to safeguard the wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide support in managing child protection cases and conducting child welfare assessments.

2. Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to deal with social issues children and families face, including abuse, neglect, mental health issues, and more.

3. Work in collaboration with other professionals such as teachers, healthcare professionals, and authorities to ensure the safety and welfare of children.

4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and provide evidence in court as necessary.

5. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with children, families, and community agencies.

6. Ensure children and families have access to necessary resources and services.

Qualifications:

1. A valid Social Work England registration.

2. Previous experience in child protection and family support services.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.

5. Knowledge of child development and understanding the issues related to child health and wellbeing.

6. Ability to make informed decisions in high-stress situations.

7. A driving license can be beneficial as you may need to travel to visit families and individuals in their own homes.
