Children’s Residential Worker

  • Location: West Sussex, England
  • Salary: £16 - £28 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Social Care is looking for Children’s Residential Workers to work across 3 homes in the West Sussex area, in either Crawley, Worthing, or Shoreham.

The role:

Working as part of a team, you will support children in the homes and on external outings, following their individual care plans and ensuring all their needs are met. Act as key worker for specific children, often with very complex needs, overseeing all aspects of their care plans and liaising with families and other agencies. Working as part of a rota undertaking shift work, including weekends, bank holidays and sleeping ins. You will need the ability to travel as required for the role, this could include travel between homes or out into the community. WSCC operate a range of children’s homes which provide a diverse range of services to some of the most vulnerable and ‘at risk’ children in the County, ranging in age from 7 to 18 years. These services include full time care (Looked After Children), short breaks, shared care, outreach services, day care and access to clubs and activities in the homes. The children looked after within our homes present varying levels of risk to themselves and others. The services we provide to those not looked after on a full-time basis have a significant and direct impact in reducing the risk of familial breakdown.

Rates for this role are still not decided and will be negotiable depending on experience. These will be on average around £16 – £20 on weekdays, and around £20 – £28 for weekends/nights.
