Childrens Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our team in Redcar, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing a caseload of children and providing them with the necessary support and care.

2. Participating in case conferences and reviews, contributing expert advice and feedback.

3. Conducting assessments to evaluate the needs and risks of young clients and their families, and designing personalized plans to address these.

4. Collaborating with other professionals such as educational staff, healthcare providers and legal representatives to coordinate services.

5. Organizing counseling sessions and implementing therapeutic treatment courses as prescribed by healthcare specialists.

6. Keeping up-to-date and accurate records of clients and their progress.

7. Guiding children and families through legal proceedings, offering advice, and acting as an advocate when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in social work or relevant field is required.

2. Registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council) in the UK.

3. At least 2 years’ experience working with children in a social work context.

4. Sound understanding of children safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.

5. Excellent observational, analytical and decision-making skills.

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

7. Ability to remain calm and empathetic in difficult and stressful situations.

8. Demonstrable commitment to continued professional development.
