Seven Resourcing is working with Coventry City Council to recruit for a Commercial Property Lawyer.
Up to £50 per hour
Initial 3 month placement
No DBS necessary
Must attend the office on a Thursday but can be remote the rest of the week.
UK Experience necessary
Job Purpose:
Commercial Property Lawyer required to handle a range of property law matters, including leases, licenses and sales and purchases of land, landlord and tenant matters, and disposals and acquisitions.
Duties:
Overview of duties and tasks to be carried out
Manage a heavy workload of commercial property work including the drafting and completion of leases, licenses, sales and purchases of land, disposals and acquisitions with minimal supervision
To work autonomously and also as part of a Team and to prioritise workloads to meet the needs of the customer and the service
Experience in development projects including drafting and completion of conditional agreements for lease
Ability to give detailed and accurate advice in all areas of freehold and leasehold property law and to carry out research when necessary
Provide support and guidance for the trainee solicitors and Legal Officers within the team as and when required
Environment – flexible / hybrid / on site working / site location
Hybrid working with office attendance 1 day per week
Applicant Requirements:
– Qualifications: Qualified Lawyer in the UK
– Experience: At least 5 years PQE experience in commercial landlord and tenant law
Relevant Experience in complex freehold disposals including experience of dealing with unregistered land and deduction of title
Experience of dealing with applications under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 (desired but not essential)
Local authority experience preferred
Experience is using a case management system and other IT systems
– Compliance: Up to date passport and DBS.
– Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
– Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
