Community Engagement Officer (Homes For Ukraine Scheme)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Community Engagement Officer (Homes For Ukraine Scheme) to work in Newbury. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £16.05 – £19.98 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options available).
The role:
Lead the council’s co-production and community engagement activity relating to the Homes for Ukraine Scheme across a range of platforms, including digital.
To work with the Communications Team and officers from across the council to ensure that the voices of hosts and Ukrainian guests are reflected in the council’s decision making.
To raise awareness of the council’s work and to highlight opportunities for involvement and co-production.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake targeted communication, engagement and co-production activities to assist development and delivery of support to those participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme
To develop bespoke methodologies to engage with those participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme
to support council’s departments to design and plan services, evaluate and review service delivery.
To organise and facilitate a diverse range of approaches, tailored for particular groups of residents, such as focus groups, interviews, forums and co-production to achieve representative participation.
To apply qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques in order to process the information resulting from co-production and engagement activities relating to consultations
To use the findings from engagement activities in conjunction with other available performance management intelligence to produce reports and recommendations to inform decision making.
To work with relevant stakeholders to raise awareness of the council’s plans among those participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme
To contribute to the development of the Consultation Forward Plan.
To use a range of media (e.g. web, social media, telephone, printed documentation, face-to-face) and produce web and editorial content appropriate to the target audience.
To produce management information reporting on the effectiveness of consultation activity among target audiences and highlight any areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: Educated to degree level or relevant vocational experience.
- Experience: 2+ years working within either a social care or housing setting.
- Compliance: 2 years written references and a current DBS check.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
