Deputy Manager

Seven Social Care is looking for a Deputy Manager to start a new exclusive role in Manchester. This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role:

You will be working for an assessment centre for older adults. It provides rehabilitation and has two beds available for regular respite users. The House provides short term care and accommodation for up to 35 adults. The building is divided into four units, three of which provide assessment while the fourth unit provides intermediate care and rehabilitation to people recovering from illness.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Registered Manager to lead, manage and coordinate the service, by determining team priorities and ensuring service users receive a high quality service which empowers them to maximise their independence and make informed choices.

Support the delivery of care and support to patients receiving rehab or Discharge to Assess. There is a requirement to prep and attend MDT and lead unit meetings to support timely discharges.

Facilitate service user choice and empowerment through promoting independence and the personalisation agenda, and in particular through the provision of timely support for all people discharged from hospital welcoming new patients.

Ensure the overall effective Leadership support and supervision of staff is effective and manage poor performance at source supporting staff to develop and grow their skills.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: 3 years plus experience in managing provision within a health and/or social care setting.

Qualifications: Level 5 or equivalent qualification in relevant subject area

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS

Hours: 35 hours a week

Travel: Car user with full UK driving license
