Seven Social Care is looking for a Family Solutions Plus – Senior Practitioner at Oxfordshire County Council
The role:
This is an EDT Role the out of hours service. Working Times are managed within a Rota’d shift system. Rota’s are fair and equitable and each worker will have block days of working their relevant shifts over a 5 week rotational cycle.
There are no caseloads . All work is completed across any one shift and may include both open casework and new referrals/enquiries (as a front door service)
For each shift there is management oversite.
Our model: is primarily to ensure risks are established and acted upon as appropriate to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individual/family until the next working day.
All work is completed within the spirit of working together and in line with our statutory responsibilities and legislative framework.
Systems: LCS/EHM/LAS
For the role there is an induction, however the expectation is candidates have either experience of EDT work and/or Statutory Duty experience.
Because of the nature of this work: This role requires a level of experience post qualifying (3 yrs.)
Out of Hours Rota’s – . There are two shifts Monday to Thursday 5 – midnight and midnight to 8.30am
Friday start: 4pm – midnight and overnight shift midnight to 8.30am Sat. Sun and Bank Holidays 3 x shifts daily. 8.30 – 5pm 5pm to midnight and midnight to 8.30am.
We operate a Hybrid model of working: . The expectation is that all evening shifts and weekend day/evening shifts are undertaken from our office base which is Abingdon Police Station.
All overnight shifts are undertaken from home, however there is the expectation of undertaking a visit if they are required. It is therefore important that candidates are able to travel to and from work and that the distance from their home location is approx. 45mins travel time.
Parking: Yes.
Police Vetting is required for the candidate to work from the Police Station. There is a process of support in place for a candidate attending the office while awaiting the Vetting outcomes.
