Seven Resourcing is working with Eurovia to recruit a Supervisor at their base at Corey’s Mill.

Working Hours/Shift Patterns

Mon – Thursday (6:30 – 4:15pm

Friday (6:30 – 3:15)

Winter maintenance – October 

1 in 3 or 4 weekends

Standby rates and paid when called out

What are the main purpose and responsibilities of this role: 

–    Look at packages of works, checking on sub-contractors 

–    H&S of sub-contractors on site

–    Responding to emergencies 

–    Planning programmes and carrying them out within budget and timescales

What key skills and experience are a MUST HAVE in suitable candidates?    –    Tree experience 

–    Chainsaw experience 

What qualifications must the candidates have?    Along with CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39 competency certificates (or LANTRA equivalent) as a minimum, refreshed within the last 5 years.

IOSH Managing Safety or SMSTS

What qualifications are nice to have?    Advantageous: RFS Modules, LOLER, CSCS, CS41, PA1 and PA6 (spraying), Safe Use of Stump Grinder,

Significant industry experience

A company van will be supplied, for business miles only

The right candidate will be responsible for delivering the Routine and Cyclical maintenance programme for specialist tree works including HIAB and MEWP works

The geographical area will be across the county of Hertfordshire, based at Coreys Mill Depot, Stevenage.

They will assist to put programmes together and then be the person responsible for delivering the programme on time and to budget and quality, with mainly supply chain partners.

This role will also involve responding to emergencies and managing these with the resources on routine works.

This is a performance driven role and contract.

Supervision and direction of SCP and direct works,

Skills to develop and manage teams, production of safety reports, track and maintain records of daily works.

Liaison with Hertfordshire County Council Representatives and dealing with Customer enquiries and Subcontractor enquiries.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

Knowledge of traffic management.

Experience: Have relevant Arboricultural experience

Experience of required industry legal standards and an understanding of industry terminology.

Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, ability to work autonomously, excellent record keeping, diary management

Proven experience running a team in a similar leadership role would be advantageous for this position

Used to dealing with operatives (direct works and SCP).

Pricing and planning of work

Compliance: Up to date Passport.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
