Homeless Intervention Team Family Support Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Family Support Worker to provide a range of services to families in need of support in Worcester.

The successful candidate will be compassionate and professional, with a strong desire to help families navigate challenging situations.

The rate of pay for this role is £18.74 per hour.

Responsibilities:

– Offering emotional support, advice and guidance to families in the London area.

– Providing practical assistance with tasks such as grocery shopping, attending appointments and childcare.

– Helping families access community services and resources to support their needs.

– Conducting assessments of families’ needs and devising support plans in collaboration with the family and other professionals.

– Signposting families to mental health and wellbeing services when necessary.

– Engaging effectively with children and young people, ensuring their voice is heard and their best interests are considered.

– Maintaining accurate records of all interactions with families and reporting to line managers as required.

Requirements:

– A passion for helping families and making a positive difference in their lives.

– A relevant qualification in social work, counselling, family support or a similar field.

– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

– Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

– A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

– An understanding of the cultural, economic, and social issues affecting families in the London area.

– A full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
