Housing Support Worker

Seven Resourcing are looking for temporary Housing Choices Officer to work in Caerphilly This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £12.70 (PAYE) or £15.81 (umbrella) per hour. The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.
The role:
Assist the Emergency Housing Manager in the management of Ty Fesen, the Council’s emergency short-term family accommodation facility. Assist the Emergency Housing Manager and Housing Support Officers with the placement of homeless individuals and households into appropriate emergency, supported and temporary accommodation at times of crisis. Provide appropriate support that will enable homeless service users to live independent lives when in permanent accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Emergency Housing Manager with the day to day operations at Ty Fesen in accordance with the Management Agreement with United Welsh Housing Association.
Undertake all administrative duties at Ty Fesen in accordance with the Council’s standards and procedures.
Assist the Emergency Housing Manager in the security of Ty Fesen and safety and well being of its resident service users, colleagues and visitors.
Assist the Emergency Housing Manager with the placement of homeless persons referred by the Housing Advice Team and Social Services for interim and / or temporary accommodation and assist with emergency transfers referred by the area housing offices both during and outside of normal office hours.
Applicant Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37 hours p/w.
