Mental Health Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a highly motivated, empathetic, and dedicated Mental Health Social Worker to join our team in helping improve mental health in our community. The role offers £31.46 per hour for a qualified professional who displays passion for their work, advocates for those they serve, and demonstrates solidarity in the face of mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health status, including identifying their strengths, resources, and support systems.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and circumstances of each patient.
3. Provide therapy, counseling, and other mental health services to patients, families, or groups.
4. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, including doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to deliver integrated care.
5. Advocate for patient rights and needs, liaising with community groups, health and social services, housing providers, and other relevant agencies.
6. Maintain patient records in accordance with UK laws and regulations, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
7. Continue professional development, uphold ethical standards, and promote best practices in mental health social work.
Qualifications:
1. Social Work Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Preferably, a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Solid experience working in the mental health field, ideally in a similar role.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with diverse populations.
5. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
6. Knowledge of UK mental health laws and regulations.
7. Crisis intervention skills and ability to handle high-stress situations compassionately and effectively.
