Occupational Health Nurse

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Occupational Health Nurse to work in Thurrock. This position is initially for a period of 4 months and is paying £32.10 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company). The hiring manager is looking for someone who is able to work part-time (upt to 4 days per week).
The role:
To provide Occupational Health and Wellbeing services and work with colleagues to provide a comprehensive, proactive and professional service to the Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of Occupational Health services that contributes to organisational objectives.
Contribute to the review and development of the existing services.
Develop and contribute to the communication, learning and training offered to line managers on Health and Wellbeing.
Clinical delivery of services for Health and Wellbeing initiatives and health referral process and production of medical reports following referral.
Interpretation of statistical data to evaluate performance and impact of the service and Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
Develop effective, professional working relationships with key personnel, external partners and organisations.
Maintenance of an efficient system of record keeping and case management, ensuring security and confidentiality of employee records that complies with Data Protection and the Medical Records Acts.
Contribute and review the Sickness Absence policies and procedures, which deliver a key objective of a reduction in sickness absence and the promotion of the physical and mental wellbeing of employees.
Develop solutions based plans to bring employees back to work or exit the organisation in partnership with Human Resources, Occupational Physician and Line Managers.
Support the procurement and day to day management of wellbeing contracts and delivery of services
Lead in ensuring agreed outcomes (cost, quality, time) for Occupational Health and Wellbeing projects, which contribute to the achievement of the Council’s priorities in conjunction with other relevant internal and external stakeholders
Lead in the ongoing improvement and deliver of the OH and wellbeing service including actions derived from audit outcomes
Disseminate learning and share best practice to develop innovative thinking and practices across the Council
Act as an ambassador for change and “our values” in the undertaking of delivery of assigned projects to help drive wellbeing across the Council
Lead in delivering regular and clear communication about the service in a way which brings it to life for customers, staff, members and partners and maintains buy-in and momentum
Develop and maintain relationships with partners, other organisations and Council Departments
Any other duties reasonably expected to be undertaken by a post holder at this level.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in Occupational Health.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Up to date registration and current DBS. References covering the last 3 years.
- Hours: Up to 30 hours per week.
