Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Occupational Therapist will assist patients to promote health and wellbeing by aiding recovery and encouraging independence in everyday activities.

Responsibilities:

– Assessment and treatment of patients with physical and mental health problems to enable them to lead as independent lives as possible.

– Setting realistic patient goals and measurable outcomes.

– Designing and adapting environments to enable patients to function as independently as possible.

– Training patient’s relatives and caregivers to provide supportive care.

– Liaising with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team to exchange information about the background and progress of patients.

– Writing reports and maintaining accurate patient records.

– Ensuring all services and treatments are carried out in accordance with clinical governance, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Requirements:

– Must hold a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.

– Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

– Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Must be able to demonstrate the capability of working in accordance with evidence-based practice.

– Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.

– Self-motivated with a strong desire to help and improve the lives of patients.

– Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection regulations.

– An ability to adapt treatments to meet the individual needs of patients.

– Capacity to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
