Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Norfolk, UK. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments, and will possess a collaborative, patient-centered approach to therapy.
Responsibilities:
1. Assess the condition and needs of patients, considering the physical, psychological, emotional, and social factors affecting them.
2. Develop an individual therapy programme based on each patient’s needs and abilities.
3. Help patients recover or improve their ability to perform tasks at work and in daily life.
4. Recommend or implement changes to the patient’s environment, whether at home or at work, to enable them to live a more independent life.
5. Monitor and document patients’ progress meticulously and adjust treatments accordingly.
6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as doctors, nurses, or social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field and implement new practices and techniques as necessary.
8. Educate and provide support to patients and their families, helping them understand the treatment plan and goals.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
2. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Sensitivity and understanding in dealing with patients and their families.
6. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
7. Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards relating to Occupational Therapy.
8. Ability to manage a complex caseload, prioritising needs, and completing administrative tasks associated with this.
9. Ability to travel to different locations if required by patients’ needs.
