Seven Social Care is looking for a Personal Advisor to start an exclusive new opportunity in Bury. This is a temporary position initially for 3 – 6 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role of a Personal Advisor:

The Personal Advisor Teams work closely with looked after children’s social workers to support young people’s successful transition into independence before taking lead responsibility for young people on their turning 18. Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of housing systems, health, education/ training options, understand adolescence as a developmental stage and be able to engage with our young people focusing on their strengths with a view to supporting positive outcomes across every area of their life.

Key Responsibilities of a Personal Advisor:

Visiting Looked After Children in Placement.

Providing practical and emotional support to children and young people, parents, and carers.

Contributing to the assessment of the young person’s needs.

Giving unbiased and informed advice on matters such as education, training, and accommodation.

Working with social workers and other professionals to assist in the preparation and updating of Pathway Plans.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or Equivalent. Significant experience in working with children or adolescents in a professional capacity.

Compliance:Up to date DBS which must be on the update service, Right to Work in the UK.

Hours: 37 hours a week
