Seven Social Care is currently seeking several Personal Advisor’s to join our client’s team in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is an interim post initially for 6 months.

The Leaving Care Service in Tameside is dedicated to providing essential support to young people aged 16-25 who are leaving care and embarking on their journey to independent living. They are committed to empowering care leavers by offering guidance, advocacy, and practical assistance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

Building positive and trusting relationships with care leavers, actively listening to their concerns, and providing emotional support.

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify care leavers’ individual needs, strengths, and aspirations.

Creating personalized support plans in collaboration with care leavers, setting clear goals and targets.

Assisting care leavers in accessing suitable accommodation, education, employment, and training opportunities.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: Experience of working with children, young people, and their families. Must have a background of working with young people ages 16-21 in difficulty in a professional capacity.

Qualifications: BTEC National/NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent in a relevant discipline

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS on the update service, Right to work in the UK.

Hours: Monday to Friday 36 hours a week
