Seven Social Care is looking for a Private Rented Sector Officer to start an exclusive new opportunity in Manchester. This is a temporary position initially for 3 – 6 months with the possibility of placement extension.
The role of a Private Rented Sector Officer:
The role will involve looking for accommodation for households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. You will be required to source accommodation to resolve client’s homeless journey within the private rented sector. This role will involve meeting landlords / letting agents inside and outside of Manchester to secure accommodation.
You will work in a busy team, managing a varied caseload. You will be required to work with a variety of service users, both face to face and over the telephone.
Key Responsibilities of a Private Rented Sector Officer:
Provide intensive support for customers with complex support needs offering holistic support plans that agree individual targets and work towards the achievement of longer term solutions and aspirations.
Assist customers to identify realistic goals, by providing choice and developing actions, ensuring full commitment and agreement from all parties to ensure the achievement of identified targets.
Adopt a flexible and personalised approach when working with service users and their families to enable the development of confidence and resilience and to help service users achieve independence and control of their own lives.
Applicant Requirements:
Experience and Qualifications:
- HHSRS qualification is preferred but not essential.
Compliance:Up to date DBS which must be on the update service, Right to Work in the UK.
Hours: 35 hours a week
