Job Description

As a member of the Commissioning team, within the Operations Directorate at Slough Children First, this interim post holder is directly responsible for working with the Commissioning team to support with quality assurance, initial stages of procurement (analysing the market in order to scope the required services) and ad-hoc commissioning tasks.

Main Accountabilities

      Undertaking a planned programme of Quality Assurance visits to providers within and out of borough. This will support the delivery of services and address quality issues.

Support with the pre-tender stages of procurement exercises.

Liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Ofsted, other Local Authority’s, and relevant Heads of Service.

Organising and supporting provider forums and communications to support positive engagement with Services.

Supporting Care Governance and Provider concerns meetings.

Overseeing and supporting contract management processes.

Supporting Commissioning team with quality assurance, delivery of sustainable quality solutions and services to the residents of Slough and contribute to procurement projects.

Travelling independently to visit various sites and on occasions required to work flexibly beyond normal working hours.
