Registered Manager – Childrens Home

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Registered Manager to work at a childrens home in Wallsend. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £23.08 PAYE or £28.24 umbrella per hour.
The role:
The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of running a long stay Children’s home for one child with complex disabilities. You will also be actively involved in the creation of a new Children’s home which you will then manage once established.
The post holder will ensure that the home’s physical environment is of a high standard, and provides a homely familial environment. They will provide appropriate emotional and physical care, promote education, training and employment, support excellent health care, provide a range of suitable activities in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
To work within the wider system, both internal and external, to safeguard and protect the rights and needs of young people.
As Registered Manager you will be responsible for all staff working within the two provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for young people referred to and accommodated within the Children’s Home. To ensure that the policies and procedures of Children’s Services and the wider Council are implemented.
- To take part in specific activities relating to service development as required.
- To promote the practice of working in partnership with young people, their families, other staff within Children’s Services, and external agencies, to meet the needs of young people.
- To provide effective leadership and management by implementing organisational strategies, in order that objectives of Children’s Services and Residential Services are achieved.
- To promote and provide effective leadership in team development and effective team working, promoting performance management to ensure the highest standards of care for children.
- To maximise the effectiveness of the team through innovative and creative practice, motivation, and the application of the Council personnel policies.
- To Develop and Quality Assure standards within the homes in line with legislation.
- To actively promote consultation with young people, their families and other agencies in the running of the homes. To promote the voice of the child within care planning and in partnership.
- To contribute to the development and review of corporate policies and service initiatives aimed at improving the service provided by Children’s Homes.
- To ensure that there is an up-to-date Statement of Purpose in place, which is appropriate to the needs of young people and outlines qualifications, experience and expertise of the staff employed within the Homes.To be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for young people referred to and accommodated within the Children’s Home. Applicant Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
Compliance: Current DBS and 2 x references.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
