Senior Commissioning Officer

Seven Resourcing is working with Solihull Council to recruit a Senior Commissioning Officer for their Planning & Commissioning Services.
£26.42 per hour.
Hybrid Working – 1 day a week in the office
6 month position
Flexible hours available – Full time hours 30 to 37- this can be over 4 or 5 days.
Job Description
Tasks required which could be completed by a Band F senior commissioning officer:
· To lead on reviewing and issuing the terms and conditions for the spot contracts for a variety of adult social care services (e.g. care at home, residential care) with the outcome to be that all spot providers (estimated 250) have a signed contract in place
· To lead multistakeholder team approach including commissioning, operations, legal and procurement to review and agree the 8 contract and specification templates to be used to send out to providers.
· To make updates to the contract and specifications which incorporate the feedback from the multistakeholder team.
· To work with a band D role to ensure the new contracts are sent out to appropriate contacts within current providers and signed and returned
· To work with a band D role to ensure the new contracts sent out are signed by the correct company
· To apply any identified updates from the review to the additional 70+ contracts that were awarded through a procurement process. This could require additional contract variations to ensure tendered contracts were consistent with the updated spot contracts in their terms and specifications.
