Senior Practitioner – Neighbourhood Team

Seven Social Care are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Neighbourhood Team located in Bridgwater, UK. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering excellent social care, supporting the welfare of the local community, and helping the team achieve positive outcomes through effective teamwork and leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead, support and mentor junior staff members within the Neighbourhood Team.
2. Assess, plan and manage support for families and individuals, promoting well-being, and protecting at-risk individuals.
3. Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to all assigned cases.
4. Continuously evaluate and monitor service delivery to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and best practice.
5. Engage with community members to understand their needs and concerns, and promote the services and mission of the Neighbourhood Team.
6. Manage a complex caseload with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
7. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to training, consultative, and case conferences.
Qualifications:
1. A relevant degree or equivalent, supplemented by post-qualifying experience in a similar role.
2. Registered with Social Work England or equivalent relevant professional body.
3. Proven experience in child/adult protection and court work.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet stringent deadlines.
6. Knowledge of current legislation and best practice guidelines affecting service delivery.
7. Excellent IT skills and familiarity with case management systems.
