Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Senior Procurement Officer  to work within Nottinghamshire.

Initial 3 month contract as you’re covering a vacancy.

£23.09 per hour 

Hybrid working.

Temp – perm opportunities are possible but not 100% guaranteed. You would need to re-apply however if you’re already in the service then you have a better chance of being successful.

As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods, services, and works for the council, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to achieve the council’s objectives.
  2. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a supplier database.
  3. Prepare and manage tender processes, including the drafting of tender documentation, evaluation of bids, and contract negotiations.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in a public sector or large organizational setting.
  2. In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  3. Familiarity with EU procurement directives and their application.
