Site Supervisor

Seven Resourcing is working with Ringway services to recruit a Site Supervisor for their service at Bulls Lodge in Boreham, Essex.
Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
Job Purpose:
To be responsible for the day to day running of site activities and actively promote company H & S policies.
Duties:
– To supervise resources; material, mechanical and sub-contract, to complete works efficiently and safely
– To collate records of all aspects of the operational process through daily site records, photos, and site measurements.
– To carry out Safety Audits and Toolbox Talks to ensure the continued development of a safe and environmentally focussed working culture.
– Conduct daily site briefings to site operatives and issue permits in line with safe dig policies.
– To report all cost information through the remote tool PAPYRUS.
– To use the Integrated Management System (IMS), to promote consistency and high standards across all activities and to capture and promote continuous improvement at all times.
– Implementing H&S on site, ensure works are carried out in line with risk assessments, method statements and all HS&E procedures.
– Maintaining contract documentation, project managers instructions, early warnings
– Ensure all works are carried out in line with current programmes
– Accountable for all activities on site from set-up to through delivery to completion
– Able to understand and interpret levelling information
– To carry out basic setting out from site drawings
– Collate relevant information to assist with the production of as built records
– To actively foster a positive staff morale.
– To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
– Feedback from progress meetings with Manager and from other Managers.
– Achieve service strike frequency rate (SSFR) in line with business plan
– Completion of works within programme deadlines
– Toolbox talks, site audits submitted as per monthly targets
– Actively participate in weekly supervisor meetings

– Hands on and active support for colleagues
– Professional and tidy appearance
– Courteous and prompt telephone manner
– Keeping all promises within deadlines agreed
– Consistently working at a level consistent with, or higher than, agreed divisional service levels
– All correspondence acknowledged or actioned within 48 hours of receipt
– All reports submitted within 1 day of close of reporting period
EDUCATION:
Good general education
Good level of literacy and numeracy skills
EXPERIENCE:
Steady work record with good IT skills

CSCS supervisor card
Able to understand and interpret utility plans and drawings

NVQ level 3
Front line manager training
Competent in basic levelling and setting out activities
