Social Care Worker

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for several Social Care Workers to start a new role in Merthyr Tydfil.   

As a Social Care Worker, you will work in a residential care home for older people. The home provides both long term and short-term residential care for up to a total of 32 individuals, both male and female, over the age of 65 years with or without dementia.

There are a variety of shifts/hours available.

It is essential you are registered with Social Care Wales to work in this role.

Responsibilities:

To ensure the principles of a ‘meaningful day’ are implemented and sustained whereby individuals are supported to participate in activities which enable direction and purpose to their daily lives.

To ensure that meaningful activities are offered that meet individuals physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional and social needs and capabilities, based on an individual’s Life History Profile, and whereby proactive support, advocacy, monitoring, and evaluation of activities is undertaken.

To work with service users and staff to devise, monitor and review individual service plans and care plans and to carry out all tasks identified within them

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: At least 1 years’ experience in a social care role within a registered setting within the last five years.

Qualifications: 10 hours online Welsh Work course

Compliance: Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK, Social Care Wales Registration

Hours: 12 – 37 hours a week, Monday to Sunday
