Social Worker – Child Protection Team

Seven Social Care are urgently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Social Worker to join our dynamic Child Protection Team in Yate. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in child protection services and a deep understanding of child protection laws in the UK.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement effective child protection strategies and procedures to safeguard children and young people in Yate.
2. Conduct and compose thorough assessments that address the needs, strengths and risks of each child and family.
3. Create and implement care plans in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
4. Collaborate closely with other professionals from various disciplines including healthcare, education, and law enforcement to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child.
5. Attend and participate constructively in regular meetings and case conferences.
6. Prepare comprehensive written reports and handle caseloads effectively.
7. Provide counselling and support services to children and their families during difficult times.
Qualifications:
1. A degree or equivalent in Social Work.
2. Current registration with the Social Work England.
3. Demonstrable experience in a child protection role.
4. Proficient in UK child protection legislation and procedures.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to make sound judgments.
7. Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and resilience.
