Support Worker (Adult Social Care)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Care Worker to work with Solihull Council on a full time agency contract.
5 days per week on a rota basis.
The role:
To engage, encourage and motivate people to achieve their maximum level of independence through an assessment of need and the development of a personalised reablement plan.
To give practical help, care, guidance and support to all people in retaining as independent a lifestyle as possible and also promote continued independence in their local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, Health & Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers.
Ensure safety of people using the service through dynamic assessment of risks.
Motivate and support the person to maintain contact with family and friends, individuals and the community.
Recognize improvements and or developments in the person’s condition, report to line management and document accordingly
Make minor adjustments to equipment, including assistive technology, following consultation with professional members of the team and record any changes made
Signpost and support people to access other services.
Apply appropriate techniques to support speech and language difficulties.
Undertake therapeutic activities i.e. improving and or maintaining mobility (indoor and outdoor) and the use of appropriate equipment supplied , building confidence, building stamina, practicing personal care, practicing transfers and daily living skills.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 and 5 or working towards.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Current DBS check and references covering the last 3 years.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
