Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Technician (Purchasing & Plant) to work within Leicestershire.
Initial 3 month contract as you’re covering a vacancy.
£12.69 per hour
Hybrid working.
Temp – perm opportunities are possible but not 100% guaranteed. You would need to re-apply however if you’re already in the service then you have a better chance of being successful.
Job Description: We are currently seeking a Technician specializing in Purchasing and Plant operations to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the purchasing and plant departments in various tasks and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with purchasing activities, including sourcing, price negotiations, and supplier management.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Support plant operations by monitoring equipment performance, conducting inspections, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels, conducting stock counts, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies to meet production requirements.
- Assist with data entry and analysis to support purchasing and plant operations.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing and plant departments as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a purchasing or plant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications for data entry and analysis.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, and plant operations is desirable.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, if required.
