Tenancy Coach (Housing Services Team)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Tenancy Coach to work with the Housing Services Team in Rugby. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and involves working 18 hours per week. The hourly rate will range from £13.98 – £17.28 (PAYE and Umbrella payment options are available).
The role:
The main responsibilities of the post are to work with all customers accessing Rugby Borough Council’s housing register to ensure wherever possible that customers are tenancy ready ahead of signing up to a property.
To work with customers already living in homes provided by Rugby Borough Council who have complex needs to ensure they have a support plan that meets their needs.
To contribute as a member of the wider team in creating a positive working environment.
To work as part of a multi-agency team to ensure all efforts are made to support customers in fulfilling their individual support plans.
To ensure that customer care is maintained to the agreed standards according to the Council’s purpose, aims and values.
Contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Housing Service in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures.
Work on own initiative under the general direction of the Estates Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tenancy ready workshops in partnership with internal departments and external organisations to all customers on the housing register.
Develop individual support plans with customers and support them to engage and adhere to them.
Work closely with the Housing Management, Customer Advice and Support Team to provide a seamless customer journey through the service as a whole.
Meet Best Value requirements, performance indicators, operational targets and Service action plan objectives.
Work with all customers accessing the service around income maximisation and money management.
Maintain good knowledge and understanding of the services deliver in the locality that customers are able to access.
Maintain a good understanding of benefits, grants and awards that customers could be eligible for.
Work closely with the Revenues Team to resolve any indebtedness owed to the Council.
Provide a closer housing management service to customers on licence with us through our contract with Home Group and ensure we meet all requirements In our service level agreement.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: N/A.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: References covering the last 2 years and proof of right to work in the UK.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 18 hours p/w.
