Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Transport Officer (Passenger Fleet Team) to work within Leicestershire.
Initial 3 month contract as you’re covering a vacancy.
£12.69 per hour
Hybrid working.
Temp – perm opportunities are possible but not 100% guaranteed. You would need to re-apply however if you’re already in the service then you have a better chance of being successful.
Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Transport Officer in the Passenger Fleet Department. As a Transport Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our passenger fleet services in Leicestershire.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule the transportation of passengers, ensuring timely and safe pickups and drop-offs.
- Maintain accurate records of passenger details, trip logs, and vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure that all vehicles are in optimal working condition.
- Respond to passenger inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Passenger Fleet Manager to develop and implement transportation policies and procedures.
- Monitor vehicle fuel consumption and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist in the training and development of new drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in transportation, fleet management, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle unexpected situations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and record-keeping software.
