We are excited to be working with a fantastic and well established Medical Communications company who are working with some of the biggest names in the industry. They are now looking to add to the team and bring in an Account Manager due to growth, this role would suit someone who is currently an Account Executive and is looking for a step up to the next level, the depth of the role would also suit someone currenly in the Account Manager role. My client is keen to develop talent so there would be progression to Senior Account Manager for the right individuals. 


Main purpose of job:

  • Managing and working with the account team from briefing through to delivery
  • Managing daily client communications and status updates with clients and suppliers
  • Managing the quality of client deliverables
  • Managing the profit and loss on assigned projects
  • Supporting the Senior Account Manager and managing assignments during their absence


  • This role reports to a Senior Account Manager
  • Responsible for day-to-day delivery of projects and programs for clients with pre-agreed timelines and budget, as directed by a Senior Account Manager or more senior team member
  • Responsible for a range of day-to-day communications with clients and/or external suppliers
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all work produced by Account Executive in the team
  • Responsible for delivering project reconciliation, as directed by a Senior Account Manager or more senior team member
  • Responsible for delivery of accurate client status reports, call reports either by yourself or by an Account Executive


  • 2yrs plus experience in Medical Communications agency/pharmaceutical Industry, or appropriate pharmaceutical industry supplier
  • Educated to degree level or above
  • Excellent client facing and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of delivering timely and profitable medical communications projects
  • Well organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workflow for Account Executives
  • Ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties
  • Confident in both client and company situations
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Hardworking adaptable and can work confidently within a group
