In-House Junior (to Mid Level) Graphic Designer

Location: London NW2

Role : Long Term Contract – Permanent

Hours : Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm but flexibility will be required on occasion.

Remuneration: £25,000 PA

The company

The company was established in early 2000s and is today is recognised as a large UK supplier to GPs, Clinic and Hospitals (Private and NHS)

Distributing over 20,000 branded consumables and equipment and also a leading manufacturer of over 700+ of their own brand label medical supplies lines including everyday consumables, surgical instrument packs and care products.


Working alongside Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, we are looking for an-inhouse highly creative, enthusiastic junior to mid-level Graphic Designer / Junior Art Director to join our growing department to design and execute across our packaging and marketing element portfolio (on and offline channels).

You should be highly creative and have a sharp eye for visual detail. Passionate about design and be eager to learn more through various projects, your goal is to create impactful designs to drive sales and raise the Farla profile.

You will need a minimum of 18 months – 2 years’ + experience in a busy and deadline driven environment along with a Degree or HND in graphic design, excellent design package skills and high level of understanding of packaging, brochure, leaflet printing process / specifications and e-commerce promo tools.

You should have a professional and confident manner with the ability to multi-task and manage all design requirements across multiple disciplines and design packages to execute appropriate creative ideas / solutions in a very busy and vibrant growing business.


  • Responsible for the design and management of all internal and external communication elements including brochures, catalogue, emailers, leaflets, email signatures etc ensuring consistency and brand governance
  • Design projects from concept to completion with drafts and mock-ups (as required)
  • Proofing and sign-off of all design elements to ensure consistency and brand throughout.
  • Maintenance and update of all relevant files
  • Trademarks and logo registration


  • Content design (images & product information) updated throughout year for year-end annual production
  • Artwork management and print of catalogue print and production
  • PDF creation and uploading to relevant folders


  • Quarterly Brochure design and content management alongside input from COO and Marketing
  • Flip book animation and upload to website
  • PDF creation and uploading to relevant folders


  • Design and management of e-commerce promo web banners (product and brand)
  • Creation of email signature strips

E-mailers / Campaign Monitor

  • Design and management of weekly e-shots using brochure artwork as base.
  • Uploading to Campaign Monitor for scheduled release (managed by Data and Marketing Teams)


  • Design and management of leaflets including printing (from internal printer)


  • Updating and new design of product packaging and maintaining artwork to SGS standards.

Education and Experience

  • Degree or HND in graphic design with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing design across packaging design (essential), e- marketing (Campaign Monitor), leaflets, brochures and catalogue elements
  • Excellent Design packages skills including InDesign (key), QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • High level of understanding of the printing process and specifications (from design to print ready artwork)
  • Excellent attention to detail (proof-reading), written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with programming scripts, including XML and HTML (desirable)
