Keeping up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses and complying with compulsory CDP requirements.
Ensure that the correct medication and prescription is given to the patient, confirming the details shown on the prescription form and the label and confirming the dosage instructions where appropriate.
Advise patients about pre‐payment certificates and how to apply for exemption Certificates.
Collect prescription fees (NHS and private) from patients. Reconcile all monies Received twice daily. Ensure adequate change is available.
Liaising with doctors about prescriptions
Overview the sale of over‐the‐counter medicines advising patients of any adverse side‐effects of medicines or potential interactions with other medicines/treatments
Distribution Logistics, Wholesale Activities
Order stock if requested to do so
Ensure incoming stock is stored under appropriate temperature conditions in the appropriate area
Check stock and ensure conformity with requirements as listed
Pack and store stock awaiting collection under appropriate temperature storage conditions in the appropriate area
Monitor and maintain temperatures within the fridge and ambient areas
You’ll need to be a fully qualified Pharmacist
Registered with the GPhC

Responsible for training, coaching and inspiring your colleagues
