Account Manager/Business Development – Care Homes
Location: London NW2
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm but flexibility will be required on occasion
Location: Combination of Office based / National Coverage
Remuneration: £25,000 plus commission based on targets and KPIs
About the Company
The company was established in the early 2000s and is today is recognised as a prominent UK supplier to GPs, Clinic and Hospitals (Private and NHS) and care homes.
They distribute over 20,000 branded consumables and equipment, they are a leading manufacturer of over 700+ of their own brand label medical supplies lines including everyday consumables, surgical instrument packs and care products
Reporting to the COO and working alongside the senior partners this role is required to contribute to growing and penetrating the UK Care Home market sector and generate sales in line with an agreed target. You should have a professional and confident telephone manner with the ability to sell and close deals over the phone. Your aim will be winning new business and upselling a range of services to new and current (primarily Private sector) Care Homes customers by proactively outbound prospecting against set targets. You will also be required to visit the existing group of homes to understand and ascertain further needs and product usage.
You will have
•Proven track of successful sales within the Care Home Sector.
•Bring an existing list of Care Home clients with you.
•Experience selling healthcare services to payers, providers and employers.
•Willingness to travel
•Create and manage a pipeline of leads and potential customers.
•Build long-term relationships and generate sales to private care homes.
•Generate new distribution channels for existing products and services.
•Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or offers
•Answer questions about the products or the company
•Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
•Ensure all leads are contacted in a timely manner , maximising all opportunities to sell
•Prospect and proactively make outbound calls, selling the company’s products and services
•Ensure minimum sales conversion rates, SLA’S and the required ROI levels are achieved
•Work closely with the other team member to ensure deliverables in order to meet targets
•Enter and update customer information in our database
•Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
Role will include:
•Relevant IT equipment including laptop and mobile phone
•Petrol Allowance for National Coverage
Experience and Education required
•Hands on and proven experience in the Private Healthcare market
•Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets preferably over the phone
•Excellent written and verbal English skills.
•Numerate with excellent attention to detail.
•Good data input skills.
•Competent IT capabilities (Excel and Word) and Outlook.
•Ability to learn about products and services and describe/ explain
•Outstanding negotiation skill with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
•Demonstration of positive team player spirit and cooperative sales skills
•Cool tempered and able to handle rejection
•Motivated by results and who has the ability to bring new ideas and share good working practice
•Excellent customer service skills as role requires regular communication with suppliers, clients and subcontractors and dealing with queries and resolving disputes.
•Ability to work confidently remains calm under pressure, meet deadlines and work within a team environment.
