We are looking for a fantastic leader, to help shape and develop our Hospital in Derby – a 50 bed hospital, which is part of one of the UK’s leading mental health care providers.
We have three wards, providing care for men and women with mental illnesses in low secure and locked rehabilitation settings. We are looking for a registered nurse with experience in forensic mental health, as well as extensive middle management experience, to provide clinical and managerial leadership for our nursing and clinical services at the hospital.
You will be expected to support the Hospital Manager in delivering a specialist, high quality service, with a proactive role within the governance, security and infection control systems of the hospital.
As a senior member of the Hospital Management team, you will be responsible for the clinical management of the all wards. You will provide direction and support to the ward managers, as well as managing the accompanying Therapy team and target deliverables. Evidence of managing change, demonstrating effective leadership and experience of motivating and developing others will be important attributes for any successful candidate.
From you, we’ll need commitment and drive to provide the highest quality of care. Interpersonal skills are essential for this post, as you’ll be working within a tight-knit team and liaising with a wide variety of people. A knowledge of, and interest in, the mentoring of students and supervision and appraisal processes is also essential.
