Here we treat a wide range of mental health problems and addictions in our mixed acute ward, with a view to moving patients on to the least restrictive setting possible. Our low secure wing helps men with an autistic spectrum condition, as well as other complex mental health problems, while our open rehabilitation ward is for those stepping down from more secure mental health care settings. As part of our commitment to diagnosis and care, our Diagnostic Assessment Clinic provides a comprehensive assessment for adults who present with suspected features of an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Caring and compassionate, you’ll be assisting our dedicated nursing team. You’ll play an important role in the daily routine of our service users.
We are now looking for a registered nurse preferably with experience in older adult’s mental health and have excellent communication skills along with an understanding of the relevant national policies and frameworks and the Mental Health Act.
From you, we will need commitment and drive to provide the highest quality of care. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this post, as you’ll be working within a multidisciplinary team and liaising with a wide variety of people. A knowledge of, and interest in, the mentoring of students and the supervision and appraisal processes is also desirable.
