Location: Hertfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays 

Salary: Up to £30k


This privately owned and operated day clinic is located in Hertfordshire, and offers many different clinical services to treat a variety of conditions with fully qualified, caring staff. Treatments and clinics include allergy and environmental illness, asthma, anti-ageing, food and chemical sensitivities, electrical sensitivities, fibromyalgia, smoking cessation, weight loss, chronic fatigue syndrome, immunisations, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, nutritional therapy, pain management, women’s health and many more.

Duties and responsibilities


  • carrying out medical instructions including those related to intradermal skin/sublingual testing, intravenous infusions, intramuscular injections and lab tests as required
  • explaining testing methods and possible effects/reactions and benefits to patients
  • instructing patients on the care and administration of their low-dose immunotherapy vaccines
  • discussing and evaluating with the medical staff any other tests that may be beneficial to patients
  • educating and advising patients on diet, chemical pollution in the home, workplace and environment, including the necessity of vitamin supplements as prescribed by the doctor
  • maintaining accurate records
  • maintaining a safe and friendly environment and acting in a professional manner at all times
  • assisting the doctors and other members of staff when required
  • participating in the development of the nursing team by use of audit and research and by supporting the implementation of resulting service changes
  • taking an active part in training and research both in-house and externally
  • developing skills to provide advice and education in the fields of low-dose immunotherapy, electrical sensitivity and becoming scent-free
  • working with the multidisciplinary team to care for patients holistically
  • ensuring all patients receive the same high standard of individualised care in accordance with the guidelines of the NMC
  • working in a way that embraces clinical governance underpinning quality care and effective health outcomes
  • ensuring that medical equipment and devices are used and maintained, and faults reported in accordance with company policy
  • undertaking other appropriate duties as directed by the clinical care manager
  • assisting in the inducting of new members of staff


  • proactively utilising different styles of communication to anticipate and overcome communication barriers, working closely with interpreters as provided by the patients
  • being able to manage a daily work allocation allowing for flexibility to support team members should situations change
  • maintaining inter-professional partnerships with colleagues

Knowledge, training and experience:

  • understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, which will require a base level of theoretical knowledge underpinned by relevant experience, e.g. cannulation, phlebotomy and immunisations
  • evidence of mandatory training in adult resuscitation/anaphylaxis, health and safety, manual handling, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children and infection control
