Seven Nursing is looking for a Systemic Family Therapist to work within the CAMHS services across North West Surrey.

The role:

Working with a wide range of patients with mental health problems, learning disabilities, neurological disorders and executive difficulties. Managing a caseload that includes a wide variety of medical and mental health diagnoses. Also being part of the MDT and wider team of psychologists across the Trust in the CAMHS Directorate.

In addition to direct clinical work (assessment and intervention), there will be the opportunity to use a range of core systemic family therapy skills such as teaching, training, consultation, supervision, and audit /service evaluation. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the systemic thinking around the provision and evaluation of care provided within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in assessment of clients referred to the team and will provide psychological therapy to clients.
  • Assist the Senior Psychologist in coordinating referrals to psychology.
  • Opportunity to provide family interventions and support the team in the provision of this treatment.
  • Provide consultation to MDT colleagues in helping inform their practice and promote a psychological perspective within the team.
  • Actively engage, assess, treat and support people in their recovery.
  • To collaborate closely with MDT colleagues whilst also retaining the distinctive skills of a Systemic Therapist.
  • Whilst being part of supportive teams, also to work autonomously in visiting clients across a large catchment area.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: Professional qualification accredited by The Association of Family Therapy (AFT)

Experience: 1+ years’ experience working within CAMHS in the UK.

Compliance: United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registration.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5
