Every year, the London Marathon draws runners from around the world, each with a unique story and a powerful motivation. In April, two extraordinary individuals from our team, Lloyd Jewell and Josh Clayton, took on the challenge not just for personal achievement but to make a difference in the lives of others. Both laced up their running shoes to raise funds for Ormiston Families, a remarkable charity dedicated to helping children and families in need.
Training, Dedication, and Support
The preparation for a marathon is no small feat. Both lads invested months of dedicated training, conquering early mornings, long runs, and physical challenges. However, they didn’t undertake this journey alone. Fellow team and family members provided unwavering support and encouragement, recognizing the significance of their mission.
The Race Day
Running 26.2 miles through the heart of London is no small task, but the determination and motivation to make a difference spurred them on. Along the route, the incredible energy of the crowd, the scenic views of the city, and the knowledge that their efforts were helping a charity close to their hearts provided the fuel they needed.
Their efforts have a twofold impact. Not only have they accomplished a remarkable personal achievement, but they’ve also raised funds that will empower Ormiston Families to continue their vital work in supporting vulnerable children and families. A tremendous effort from both, and a massive thank you from everyone at Seven and Ormiston Families!
