Seven Social Care are looking for a Temporary Qualified Social Worker to join a Child Protection Team in Middlesbrough.

The role:

As a Qualified Social Worker working in the Child Protection Team, you will be managing a complex caseload, issue court proceedings and be a part of Child Protection conferences . Ensure all records are kept up to date to the highest standards. Previous statutory CP experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with adult’s specialists to develop creative multi-disciplinary care plans for children who are subject to child protection or child in need plans.
  • Inform the Team Manager when they consider care/PLO proceedings may need to be initiated.
  • To ensure the Service’s procedures for managing risk of significant harm to children are followed at all times, and to seek appropriate advice and authorisation from managers.
  • To conduct care proceedings on behalf of the Service with appropriate guidance and authorisation. To ensure reports and statement for court, case conferences and looked after reviews are prepared to a high standard, in time for deadlines and evidence involvement of children, families (including absent fathers) and carers

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
