Seven Social Care are currently looking for a temporary Childrens Residential Practitioner to work in Bradford. This is initially a short-term contract and is paying £12.77 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

To contribute to the success of the organisation by:

As required by management to assist in providing a comprehensive residential service across units within the specific service area in accord with Council Policy requirements.

To contribute to the success of the service by promoting the Statement Of Purpose of the home, its objectives and outcomes for children in order to achieve an Ofsted Rating of Good or better.

Key Responsibilities:


To undertake the key worker role and implement care plans, devise behaviour management plans ,risk assessments and health plans with support; this ensures children are cared for consistently.

To ensure that all children’s files are kept up- to- date and any remedial action is taken promptly. This not only ensures information held on children is accurate, it contributes to the inspection process.

To supervise the day to day physical and emotional needs of the children in accord with Racial; Cultural; Religious; linguistic and dietary needs. This ensures children and young people are supported to go to school, enjoy leisure activities, stay healthy and also safe.

To participate in the development of Trainee Residential Practitioners. Sharing knowledge and experience with new starters.

Applicant Requirements:


Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Workforce.

Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.

Compliance: Current DBS check.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
