Children’s Social Worker – Assessment and Safeguarding

  • Darlington, County Durham, England
  • Temporary / Full Time
  • Hollie Giddens
  • £249.94 - £249.94

Seven Social Care is looking for several Temporary experienced Social Workers based in Darlington, to work in their Assessment and Safeguarding Teams. They are offering some great, competitive rates.

The role:

Successful candidates will hold a mixture of cases ranging through CIN, CP and Court Cases. There will be the expectation to hold more complex cases. The Assessment & Safeguarding teams cover from assessment through to step down or case closure with the exception of long term foster care cases which transfer to our Looked After Through Care team. Transfer points are limited to reduce the number of social workers for families. Case loads are low at between 18 – 20 children per worker in order that we can promote quality and positive outcomes for children.

Due to the current situation we are working from home, however we can provide a local office base on set days to enable visits and when on duty. New Starters will have a meet & greet with their team manager & collect equipment on their first day. To those from outside of the North East, we can offer up to £50 per night room only accommodation, and paid mileage once per week to & from home at 45 pence per mile.

Applicant Requirements:

· Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

· Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.

· Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

· Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

· Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
