Children’s Social Worker – Disability Team

Seven Social Care are requiring a full time Social Worker based in Darlington. Working with Children and potentially young adults in the Disabled Children’s Team.

The role:

This will involve assessment, support plan, monitoring and reviewing plans. We also work with Looked After Children, children on CP and statutory CiN Plans and individuals with mental health issues. The team work with young people through their transition to adulthood. We manager our own safeguarding for children s Strategy Meeting/Discussion, S47 single and joint investigations, ICPC, RCPC, Safety Planning and when Children Become Looked After.

The Team are all currently working Agile from home and are not Office based since Covid-19 restrictions. There are virtual visits, door step visits and actual home visits required. PPE and social distancing is implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and carry out local recruitment activities and analyse the effectiveness of methods used.
  • Carry out stringent assessment and completion of Form F to standard, presenting reports to panel.
  • Ensure that at all times you work with a commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
