Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Community Care Officer to work with the Learning Disabilities Team in Bradford. This position is initially for a month and will be paying £10.71 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

The purpose of the role is to work on a project that focuses on accommodation options across Bradford district, linked to the Learning Disabilities Team. The project will involve liaising with the people who already live in identified accommodation, support providers and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

      Identifying and addressing the needs of older people and/or carers and to negotiate services and to adapt service provision to meet the needs of the individual.

Undertaking assessment and care management tasks within Council policies and procedures.

Ensuring that statutory provisions are met and the standard and quality of care is satisfactory and meets Department policies and guidelines.

Using the Line Management processes, obtain the advice and agreement of a Line Manager to commit budgets and resources to packages of care negotiating services or resources as necessary, and recommending service developments.

Required to undertake the less complex visiting and assessment of persons requiring care and with relevant experience will be expected, under supervision, to provide contact, advice, support and encouragement together with prescribed financial and material assistance.

To review the appropriateness and quality of the service provided, including the ongoing relevance of the assessment.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Current DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
