Seven Social Care are looking for a Community Navigator based in Ashford, Kent. This is temporary opportunity initially for 6 month period, which is likely to be extended.

The role:

Do you want to play your part in ending Rough Sleeping for good?

The Everybody In response to the Covid-19 pandemic has shown that we can make a massive impact on supporting rough sleepers to get off the streets and into accommodation. The challenge before us is to ensure that this effort is not wasted and that people can leave rough sleeping behind for good.

As a Community Navigator you will be responsible for delivering, strengths-based support packages to people with a history of rough sleeping in Ashford, Kent. You will be supporting and empowering some of the most complex, vulnerable people in society to take the next step towards living independently in their new accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

        Provide housing-related support services to customers in a community setting, which may include their own homes.

Deliver a ‘best practice’ support service, appropriate to customer needs.

Ensure the delivery of individual personalised support packages, reflective of difference customer needs, including culture and diversity issues.

Support customers with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent and liaising with landlords, etc.

Knowledge of ‘best practice’ in both crisis intervention, and person-centred support working.

Undertake referrals and assessments of potential customers, working with them to identify the most appropriate housing solutions for their needs.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A
  • Experience: 2+ years working in a similar role.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
