Seven Social Care is looking for an Occupational Therapist to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the Central Bedfordshire Reablement service.

The role:

You will be working within the Reablement team which includes Step Up Down Units. The teams aim to provide up to 6 weeks support for people to maximise their independence and safety to enable them to return home. As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll be at the heart of supporting vulnerable people to be safe, well and as independent as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work as part of an integrated multi – disciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Co ordinators and Support Workers.Initiate and carry out local recruitment activities and analyse the effectiveness of methods used.
  • The team’s role will be to promote the independence of adults and older people in need of community care services and their carers by assessing their needs, promoting enablement and reablement.
  • Ensure that at all times you work with a commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the code of ethics.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: You will be required to have a degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapist. HCPC registered.
  • Experience: Recent post qualifying experience working as a Occupational Therapist.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
