Seven Social Care are looking for a Temporary Children’s Team Manager based in Middlesbrough to work in the Child Protection/Children In Need Team.

The role:

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children’s Services and be registered with Social Work England. Flexible working is an option and can be discussed with the Social Work Hiring Manager upon interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, risk assessments
  • Carrying out Section 47 Child protection investigations
  • Writing Statements for court
  • Completing Section 7 and 37 reports for court
  • Representing the authority in court to give evidence
  • Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes and to safeguard children

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
