Seven Social Care are looking for an interim Service Manager to work with the Early Help and Youth Offending Service. This position is initially for 6 months and is paying up to £350 per day via an umbrella company.

The role:

Leading a multi-agency service so that, serious youth violence, knife crime and the criminal exploitation of children are reduced, children are safeguarded, their welfare is promoted and wider public protected.

Acting as the lead officer promoting effective partnership working in reducing serious youth violence and knife crime with the Safer Greenwich Partnership and Greenwich Children’s Safeguarding Partnerships.

Providing strategic leadership within Housing and Safer Communities, Children’s Services and the wider partnership on the delivery of strategies, policies and plans relating to the reduction of serious youth violence, knife crime and all forms of criminal exploitation, and in ensuring that the Safer Greenwich Plan, Greenwich Children and Young People’s Plan and other strategic plans are addressing the reduction of exploitation and serious youth violence.

Key Responsibilities:

      Lead a multi-agency service so that, serious youth violence, knife crime and the criminal exploitation of children are reduced, children are safeguarded, their welfare is promoted and wider public protected.

Work with the Strategic Partnership Group, Greenwich Safeguarding Partnership Board, Safer Greenwich Partnership, Youth Offending Service Management Board to reduce the exploitation of children and young people, through gangs, county lines, criminal and sexual exploitation and radicalisation.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with partners in the Police, the Youth Offending Service, Safer Communities Team, Children’s Safeguarding and Social Care, National Probation Service, Community Rehabilitation Company, Greenwich Local Labour and Business, CAMHS and community and voluntary groups to ensure arrangements are in place to address and monitor issues relating to children and young people at risk of, or involved serious youth violence or those who being criminally exploited.

Work with partner agencies to ensure that performance or personnel issues are resolved in a timely way.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by Social Work England.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Up to date SWE registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
